Clear aligners can be a good option for some teenagers, particularly when they are motivated, responsible and able to wear their aligners consistently. Aligners need to be worn as instructed for treatment to progress properly.

For teenagers, we assess not only the position of the teeth, but also growth, bite development, oral hygiene, compliance and whether aligners are likely to be the most reliable option. For some teenagers, braces may still be the better choice.
